This little blog is for people that like to eat but don’t want to spend a lot of time cooking.
I will be posting the best short under 4 minute videos on how to cook a world of foods, plus include my own videos on cooking.
I will also be reviewing the latest gadgets I find to make life easier in the kitchen that make cooking quick and even a little fun.
Please click on one of the categories to the right of this page to see a collection of videos focused on that subject, or just browse the videos and view earlier entries by clicking on “previous entries” at the bottom of each page.
There are many subject “tags” missing so if you don’t see an item listed please enter your search word in the search box.
I am not a gourmet, you won’t find many recipes that have 20 ingredients and cost half the paycheck, I lean towards comfort foods and old favorites and new exotic combinations when they are tasty and quick and fun to make. Hope you enjoy and come back again soon.

From one Pie Fiend to another,
Hush UP!
I know this is mostly instant filling, but Lordy, have you actually tried it? This pie is quick as can be and tastes pretty close to a scratch pie and don’t he get any points for the home made Graham craker crust?
A ittle known fact is Banana Cream Pie is high on the list of desserts prisoners order for their last meal, …could they not have made similar better choices in their life?
Sprinkle some shredded coconut on top and get early parole.

This is one of those dishes that is very simple but looks impressive and tastes amazing!
We catch our own shrimp off the bridges down here at night in the Winter months, and while it is cheap, fresh caught shrimp spoils you for life. Storebought frozen shrimp are hard to swallow now but if you add Prosciutto ham to them I think I can force myself. LOL
If you don’t have prosciutto use Canadian bacon or good real bacon.

Very simple and well presented Salmon dish. Don’t buy the farmed salmon unless you are sure it has no hormones and drugs and chemicals in it.
If I could afford it I would eat Salmon every day.
And to be honest, if you don’t have ll the vegetables in this dish, just make the salmon with salt pepper, and butter and add lemon after it comes out of the oven and serve on the rice with the butter and lemon as a sauce. Salmon does not need much of anything, it is amazing by itself.

This reminds me of food you have at the Fairs or festivals that are served on a stick, roasted meat and vegetables with sauce dripping off and down while walking around in huge crowds waiting in hot noonday lines at the beer booth listening to the music in the background over everyones voice and being hungry again in an hour wondering if you can eat a whole Turkey leg drumstick you see someone walking around and eating.
Roast pork and vegetables with sauce, very simple but is a crowd pleaser.

This is a simple meat sauce made with ground beef.
If you really want a special tasting sauce grow some basil and oregano in pots on your porch or balcony. They are very easy herns to grow and fresh leaves added crushed to your sauce will spoil you. the smell of the fresh basil is worth it alone.
